Cloud Computing is transforming enterprise. OpenStack is the open source Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution for building and managing clouds. This course provides a technical introduction to the key concepts and technologies behind OpenStack IaaS solution. We discuss the high level architecture of the OpenStack IaaS and explain the functionality provided by each of the key services such as Glance, Nova, Glance, Neutron, Cinder and Swift. Along the way, each student will design and build a Virtual Network using OpenStack. The course will enable the understanding the value of orchestration in a virtualized network and its possible application in a virtualized network architecture.
